FEA

Summit 1031 Exchange is one of the original members of The Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA), our industry's national trade association, which was formed in 1989. Members of the FEA include Qualified intermediaries (QIs) and professionals representing affiliated industries such as banks, TIC sponsors, real estate brokers, title companies, settlement/escrow agents, and others.

CES® Designation
In 2003, The FEA launched a new professional designation to increase the professionalism of the exchange industry and foster public confidence in selecting an exchange accommodator.  To become a Certified Exchange Specialist®, a professional is required to have completed 3 or more years in the industry facilitating exchanges, and must pass a difficult exam. To maintain their designation, CES® designees must  obtain a required amount of continuing education and apply for designation renewal every 2 years. For more information on the CES® designation visit the CES® website.
