Hungry All Year Long Food Drive,June 1st-July 15, 2007
Summit is pleased to report the overwhelming success of our inaugural Hungry All Year Long food drive. During the summer months, local food donations are around 7,000 pounds, and Summit's goal was to raise an additional 7,000 pounds. Through the help of Central Oregon businesses and community members we almost doubled our goal!
Summit wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to the list of over 100 locations of businesses listed below who helped make this success possible. The final totals collected were 13,350 pounds of food.
This year's beneficiary was Neighbor Impact, as they are Central Oregon's main food bank distributing donation to roughly 40 organization throughout Central Oregon.
